Settings, Backup and Assignees

Settings allows you to manage the main supporting information for Snaglite, including company details, assignees, backup and restore, appearance options and subscription access where applicable.

It is sensible to check Settings before carrying out live inspections.

Company information

Company details may be used in exported reports. Enter them carefully and keep them up to date.

If reports are being issued externally, check that the business name and any other reporting details shown in Settings are correct before export.

Assignees

Assignees are used to identify who is responsible for dealing with a snag. Setting these up in advance makes snag entry quicker and helps keep naming consistent across the inspection record.

Good practice

Use one consistent name for each assignee rather than several slight variations. This keeps filtering and reporting much clearer.

Backup and restore

If the inspection data is important, use backup regularly. Backups provide a practical safeguard if you need to move to another device, recover data or preserve a record before making major changes.

It is sensible to create backups:

If you need to restore from a backup, check the restored data carefully before relying on it for live reporting.

Appearance or theme settings

Snaglite includes both a dark and light theme appearance in settings that affects how the app looks during use. These do not change the underlying inspection data,or carry through to the PDF Report.

Choose whichever appearance is clearest and most comfortable for your working conditions.

Subscription

Where Snaglite uses subscription access, the relevant subscription information and management options should be available through Settings or related subscription screens.

Check that subscription access is active before relying on the app for live site work.
